• Manifold & cat converter

  Had cracked manifold on Honda Civic 1.5i V Tec 1998. Found company on Web. Ordered part in Sept 07. Part arrived and looked as though it had been put together in someones back room. Part fitted and found to be faulty, as welding to all joints had not taken place. apparently company order from another company called Fuel Parts. I had to order another part as they would not refund on the first part until they recieved it back. Second part came and fitted and appeared to be ok. I requested a refund of my mechanics charges but to date no refund has been made. I have just had an MOT and car has failed on exhaust emissions, my mechanic thinks that the cat converter is faulty. Will be contacting Parts Plus to check the warranty on the original part and await to see their response. Unable to trace an e mail address for the company. Unfortunately I have to use the company as I need to try and obtain another part. Clearly their arrangements with Fuel Parts are poor as no checks are made to see that components meet the required standards. Jack Ewins
