    When a pal of mine and I decided to quest for Kettering's finest chippy, Avondale was high on the last. One of his brothers lived nearby and recommended it - and true to his word, Avondale was one of the area's true food heroes.The chips are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside - just as you hope for when you've got the munchies on the lunchtime run.But the creme de la creme was the battered sausage. A true meat-lover's delight, the sausage was resplendent not being too greasy, and the batter was uncharacteristically - but joyfully - thin so the quality of the meat parcel shone through. Good prices too.
